داستانی از شاهنامه ی فردوسی برای آشنایی کودکان با این گنجینه ی ادب فارسی بازنویسی شده است. تصاویر و متن تقریباً برابرند و تصویرها با رنگ‌های تند، واضح و بزرگ‌اند، به‌همین‌ جهت به نقل داستان کمک می‌کنند و روش پرده‌خوانی قدیم را به‌ یاد می‌آورند و برای قصه‌گویی در کلاس مناسب است. زبان آسان و رسم‌الخط درشت کتاب‌ها مناسب نوسوادان است.
