Method 2 Grind the shikakai pods. Seive the ground mixture to remove any unground pieces. The result is pure shikakai powder. Soak a teaspoon of this powder in water. Use this solution to wash your scalp and hair. Method 3 Place 5 pieces of Shikakai in the hair oil that you normally use. Leave the pods in the oil and the benefits of the Shikakai will absorb into the oil. Continue to use your hair oil as you normally would.
