AWSOM LED's starter-lead to tape connectors join a strip of LED tape to its starter lead with a simple click. No need for soldering !
These snap-on connectors simply slide onto the two lengths then clip down to hold them both securely - for you to extend as required and connect to a transformer or controller.
TIPS:
Before this connector can be used, gel waterproof coatings must be removed 7mm from the end of the LED strip.
The LED strip can then slide inside the connector, passing under the metal arms. Ensure the arms are pushing down onto the copper contacts of the LED Strip.
Then close the connector cover, ensuring the teeth clamp directly onto the circuit board of the LED strip not the gel coating.
Note:Â
An LED tape starter-lead connector is ideal if you are working onsite, or if you don't know your required tape lengths when you order so we can't pre-cut and solder them for you.
In such cases, you can simply purchase your LED tape in standard 5m reels, then use connectors to create the exact lengths you require.
