Sewing Pattern -1887 Cheviot Dress with Braid Trimming Pattern. Size: 40" Bust - 27" Waist. Pattern does not include foundation skirt. This model was made of one material throughout, and is suitable for any of the new winter woolens either in a plain or in a checked fabric. It is trimmed with braded ornaments composed of wool soutache edged with silk cord. A plastron of braid is on the front and back of the waist, the collar is of braid, and scrolls trim the sleeves and the slashed sides of the polonaise. Pattern consists of polonaise, skirt and foundation skirt. Yardage - 7 3/4 yds 56" wide - DOES NOT INCLUDE FOUNDATION SKIRT. Ageless Patterns (AG) is an original from the era including original sewing instructions which assume some sewing knowledge, which would have been typical for the era indicated.
