I got a copy of this book through a friend as a loaner to open my world a bit more. I had to then purchase my own copy. I've rarely seen a book with so much detail from the best weather season to visit, to the exact addresses of places to visit and restaurants to go to. Just a wealth of information I've rarely seen in any travel book. I'd need a book like this for anywhere I'd go visit.
I’ve yet to see this side of the Asian world especially in all the popularity that Tokyo has gained over the years with new inventions and such. By reading this book it has helped me discover just how unique this country is and all that there is to experience. Some of the pictures I saw of some of the iconic buildings really bring the city to the forefront and how historical it is. There are sections in this book which provide various means of transportation to get around and how to wisely budget your way around. Noticing and reading of the different foods that are discovered there show the true essence of the Japanese Asian culture and I believe will motivate me to take a trip out there at some point in my lifetime. This book alone brought me a preview of what is to come. Having this guide is definitely recommended for any foreigner in helping to understand how to properly be yourself in a foreign country and have fun.
The recommendations seem to be good but there are no maps and no directions to get from one place to another.
