- Durable Construction: Crafted from high-quality galvanized steel, this backdraft damper features lightweight aluminum flaps and stainless steel springs and axis components, offering durability and corrosion resistance. Withstands temperatures up to 50°C, making it ideal for HVAC use.
- Effective Backflow Protection: Designed to block unwanted airflow, it automatically opens with air pressure and closes when airflow stops. The built-in spring mechanism and rubber gasket provide a reliable seal, reducing drafts and improving indoor air quality.
- Simple Push-in Installation: Quickly installs by sliding into the duct pipe—no tools needed. For optimal operation, ensure the spring is aligned horizontally in horizontal ducts or vertically in vertical ducts to allow the flaps to open and close freely.
- Wide Compatibility:Fits most standard 4-inch ducts—both flexible and rigid. Ideal for use in HVAC systems, kitchen exhausts, dryer vents, bathroom fans, and range hood ventilation in both residential and commercial settings.
- Important Installation Note: This damper is designed to fit metal ducts and should be installed on the duct lip for best sealing performance. It is not compatible with certain plastic piping systems due to size inconsistencies.
