This Solar Charge Controller is a Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT), which means that it adjusts itself to insure that you get the maximum power out of your solar panels. With MPPT, the controller adjusts the panel load resistance to obtain the maximum power output for the environmental conditions. It also provides a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) battery charging mode. PWM technology is used to rapidly switch the controller output on and off, allowing the controller to check the state of the charge on the battery, and adjust each pulse accordingly. With these control modes available, this charge controller provides higher efficiency and better charge response than similarly priced models. Included with this controller is a remote communication cable and a MT-5 remote display.
