Ultra Bright Fused-Quartz Xenon Bulb: Produces 3X brighter light than halogen, uses up to 80% less power, increases visibility, and has long lasting non-fading lifetime
HID lights have a glass chamber of gas that replaces the filament of traditional halogen light bulbs. The gas is ignited with an approximately 23,000 volt charge and stays illuminated by a constant 12v source that is provided by a ballast which is connected directly to your battery. Remarkably, HID lights are able to provide greater light output with much less power consumption. Studies show that an HID lamp produces 3 times as much light compared to a 55 watt halogen bulb. Moreover, the 55 watt halogen bulb uses a continuous power draw of 10-15 amps, while the HID system uses 20 amps for starting up, but then drops down to a mere 3 amps during operation (that is up to 80% less power during use!). In addition to high output and low power usage, the HID headlight provides longer service life. With no filament to vibrate and fatigue, under normal driving conditions, HID bulbs last roughly 10 times longer than halogen bulbs. What is the HID Color Temperature? Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a light source, in this case the HID bulb. Color temperature is a characteristic of light that is sometimes misunderstood as brightness, when it's more closely related to cool and warm color tones of light. While cool and warm are words used to describe a light's temperature, this may be a bit misleading. The term color temperature actually refers to the color that is associated with the amount of heat needed to produce a color in from an ideal black body. Here is a rough guide to Color Temperatures for our HID bulbs. It is hard to describe HID colors accurately because different people tend to perceive colors slightly differently. 3000k= Yellow, 4300k= Bright White with a hint of yellow, 6000k= Pure white light (some people detect a slight blue), 8000k= White light with a blue tinge, 10000k= Light blue, 12000k= Deeper Blue, 30000k= Violet/Purple.

I can't explain how happy I am to finally have this. The 55w is SO much better than the standard 35w. It's extremely bright, doesn't "wash out" as much as people say and it's very nice to have. Even in pure daylight I can see the difference. Easy install, no flickering. It does take about 20 seconds for these babies to fully warm up, as with most HID sets, but WOW are these bright and effective. I'd definitely recommend this!
--Update-- (Previous review was installed on a '12 Challenger; I've since bought sets for an '08 Ram Big Horn pickup and the below '15 Jeep Wrangler)
July '15 - I bought a new set of these for my '15 Jeep Wrangler and they again are absolutely awesome! I've used the 6000k and 5000k versions. They 6k's "look" more appealing with a hint of blue although the 5k's are visibly brighter. I can't believe how stupid bright these are, haha! It's fantastic! High-beam is literally not necessary and probably would be an...
been almost flawless this entire time, over 20 months going strong. the only issue i had was that if you would toggle the headlights quickly, for example if you turn the car on with the lights on, turned them off then on quickly, one of the bulbs would fail to ignite for some reason and you would have to keep the lights off for a minute or two to try and turn them both on again. i dont know why but it was an easy problem to avoid. one of the bulbs recently burned out like 2 weeks ago so i got some kensun replacements and just replaced both. for some reason it actually solved the failing to ignite problem, you could toggle them on and off as fast as you could and there would be no issues, meaning it was probably a defect with the bulb. unfortunately, just today a ballast went out unfortunately. i will be contacting them if they will warranty it or not, but honestly for a $60 kit, lasting almost 2 years with relatively no issues or headaches, im really not too upset about a...
I have a 2015 wrx base. Upon searching the required H11 kit it said it was not compatible with my vehicle. I knew the correct OEM bulb type was a H11 so I went with it anyways. Sure enough it fit like a champ! 6000k Bulbs are really bright "white" not blue. When taking a test drive I can clearly see the cutoff line where the light beam starts and stops. I feel as if I need to adjust the light fixture slightly downwards. I purchased also a DRL LED kit separate. When flicking on the high beams, there is hardly a difference. Which makes me think these HID's are way over the top "literally". All in all these bulbs produce a great view of distance "like driving with high beams on" The housing I have installed them in is a projected glass lens. Also I never bought a "off brand" product like this form Amazon for my vehicle before. Since my driving is mostly done in the dark only time will tell how well these hold up. I will be sure to keep an update since...
