For 6-inch buffing wheels, the optimum speeds for pig iron, copper and nickel is 3000~3500 rounds per minute (114 ft per second)
2200~3000 for copper, copper alloy and silver (98ft/s)
1800~2500 for aluminum, aluminum alloy, zinc, tin and lead.(82ft/s)
