Though best known for the dozens of lush orchestral pop albums he recorded for Decca during the 1960s, conductor, arranger and producer Bert Kaempfert was also a hugely successful composer, responsible for perennials including 'Spanish Eyes,' 'Danke Schoen' and 'Strangers in the Night'. Ironically enough for a figure most closely associated with the rise of easy listening, he also made the very first studio recordings of the Beatles. 33 tracks compiled from the films, '90 Minuten Nach Mitternacht' (Terror After Midnight) (1962), 'Willkommen, Mister B...' (A Man Could Get Killed) (1966) & 'Zwei Kerle Aus Granit' (You Can't Win 'Em All) (1970).
