A Guide to the Frogs and Toads of Belize

The authors, both with extensive field experience in Belize and its environs, have compiled the first guide to the frogs and toads of this region. This book describes species encountered in Belize and nearby Mexico and Guatemala. Global concern over declining amphibian populations has heightened interest in these fascinating creatures. Some, such as the red-eyed treefrog, are well known to amateurs, while a few have just recently become known to science. All 33 species, as well as the major habitat types in Belize, are illustrated in color.
