A JOUST OF KNIGHTS is Book #16 in the Bestselling series THE SORCERER'S RING, which begins with A QUEST OF HEROES (book #1)—a free download with over 1000 five star reviews on Amazon!

In A JOUST OF KNIGHTS, Thorgrin and his brothers follow Guwayne’s trail at sea, pursuing him to the Isle of Light. But as they reach the ravaged isle and the dying Ragon, all may be just too late.

Darius finds himself brought to the Empire capital, and to the greatest arena of them all. He is trained by a mysterious man who is determined to forge him into a warrior, and to help him survive the impossible. But the capital arena is unlike anything Darius has seen, and its formidable foes may be too intense for even he to conquer.

Gwendolyn is pulled into the heart of the family dynamics of the royal court of the Ridge, as the King and Queen beg her for a favor. On a quest to unearth secrets that can change the very future of the Ridge and save Thorgrin and Guwayne, Gwen is shocked by what she discovers as she digs too deep.

Erec and Alistair’s bonds deepen as they sail further upriver, into the heart of the Empire, determined to find Volusia and save Gwendolyn—while Godfrey and his crew wreak havoc within Volusia, determined to avenge their friends. And Volusia herself learns what it means to rule the Empire, as she finds her precarious capital embattled from all sides.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A JOUST OF KNIGHTS is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

Although this #16 is Ok, it feels like the series needs to end with the next book as it is starting to feel more wearing than enjoyable.

Thorgrin's episode is most distressing as he seems to be coming an anti-hero. I recommend that Morgan Rice write one more full-sized novel and wrap up all these story lines as they are becoming somewhat repetitive and tiresome. Otherwise, readers will likely start dropping away from disinterest--at least I will.

In these last two books, I notice more grammatical errors are occurring, which may indicate rushing to get the books published. Since the previous ones were more impeccable in regards to grammar, the presentation of the work is starting to suffer, which could affect the writer's reputation. I suggest slowing down and allowing a satisfying ending.

I have greatly appreciated all the great stories up until this Book 16 and thank you very much, Morgan, for all the entertainment and interesting plots you have... Read more
Do not buy this book! Ok, I'm done. I've tried with this unnecessarily long Sorcerer 's Ring series. Really, Morgan Rice...please get an editor to proof read the text. Some readers expect text to be published professionally. Several of your books in this series have High School English errors, a few context errors where I had to assume which character you were actually referring and words spelled incorrectly! This is disrespectful to your readers. It's like you are saying we are gullible enough for just any 'ol thing. Not...

Then, close down a few of the story lines! C' many mini books with scenes jumping all over the place with all characters in mortal danger (yet again and again and again)! I can't curl up with your book. The books in this series are so short, they are over before they start. I cannot help but thinking you are milking your readers for money that some of us don't have. All 17 books could have been two. The sad thing is that the story is a... Read more
Not a stand alone book, part of a series and should be read in sequential order...worth the read! I just could not put it down. Some days i read for 8 hours straight. What a great fantasy ride. So much is happening in these books but the author writes it so it is easy to follow, like several little stories happening in one book. The characters I found to visualize, like and or dislike quickly. Descriptions were intense and in depth enough to make me feel as I were there in the story as a character myself.

If you like action, romance, fantasy, magic, castles, knights, battles of good and evil and valor then you will love this series. There is gruesome killing but the author does not go into a deep description and make it gory. There is great love and romance but nothing even pg rated. Lots of fantasy but not to extravagant. It amazes me how creative this author is and I constantly wondered "what in the world will happen next?".

To me a perfect... Read more
