I was so pleased with this season's winner! A beautiful collection. Was really disappointed with Christopher's and Sergio's. They are great designers but didn't know how to put on a fashion show.

A general comment about the show... especially considering Michael Kors' comment at the end about the winner being a real 'gentleman'... I don't appreciate all the bickering and cattiness and drama when everything boils down to who comes up with the best garment each time! The egos get in the way of many's success!

It has been said many times on the show (but seems to elude many of these designers) that in the REAL fashion world, nobody works alone. If you can't contribute to the success of a team effort, you just can't be a success.

I wonder sometimes if the contestants have ever watched the show. They should come prepared to put their best effort into whatever challenge they're given. Instead of recycling their particular esthetic into each one they... Read more
This is one of my all-time favorite TV series. And while it seemed, practically up to the last minute, that the climax was going to be... anticlimactic, everyone but Michael, imo, raised their work up a few notches for the finale. I feel that Fabio went even further; seemingly growing wings (even though Dmitri's the one who mentions wings) in response to his increasing success and the judges' support. Which is, I feel, what the series is about, ultimately: the flourishing of creativity in response to the challenges, etc.

I can't remember if I've ever cried around a finale before. I found tears coming to my eyes; I was so touched by two of the contestants. And those two ended up being the top two. I became so connected with their processes that I was sitting here thinking, "I'm going to cry if ______ doesn't make it, I'll be so disappointed for him." Then I was startled to find that one winning. But I didn't end up feeling sad for the one who doesn't win, even though his... Read more
The All-Stars (last) season was fun but it suffered behind the absence of integral elements Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. By himself, Gunn is probably at least 40% of this show's draw for me; always has been. I laugh out loud at his succinct vocabulary, creative language usage, and, for me, endearing mannerisms. I feel the world is richer for his presence.

The challenges are great. The competition's good enough, this time around. While, so far, there's no standout contestant (such as a Mondo Guerra) for me, I find the creative process at the heart of PR endlessly fascinating. (Re: a standout, I'm rooting for Dimitri and his elegant designs, but as of the latest episode, he still isn't showing the ability to jump up to a more exciting level - hope he makes it to Fashion Week...).

Compared with other seasons? Not as funny as the one with Santino. I don't hold my breath for anyone's designs as I did for Laura Bennett's, Mondo Guerra's, Seth Aaron's, Christian Siriano's,... Read more
