I adored the heroine and hero. They were so cute together. He wanted her since forever and she never thought of him that way. I like how the roles are reversed with that and how she is a divorcee with 2 teenage kids instead of virgin pining for her boss while he sleeps with everything under the sun. This hero did have his share of girls but he thought the heroine was too good for him and hated men after her marriage ended so he has a good reason to have dated around. I did have one issue and that was an editor's mistake. The story takes about how it is July and he lost his memory back to when it was May but at the end of the book when she gets sick, the heroine says that the rest of the office had the flu this winter and now she had it. Then it says something about a project he needs to have done before this spring. You would have to read it because it seems the time went from July to December. How can you get the flu that went around the office 6-7 months after the fact and how can a...
This book had an unusual plot that I really enjoyed. The heroine in the hero's secretary. When he suffers amnesia stretching over the last six weeks, which covers his whirlwind courtship of a hateful gold-digger, the heroine impulsively claims at the hospital that SHE is he fiance. To protect him, she takes him up to her cabin for the weekend in hopes that he will recover his memory. However, she didn't count on him being very interested in her as his fiance. After a few delicious kisses, she decides not to tell him just yet about her little lie. Sometimes these little lies get carried too far and well beyond when they should be owned up but she did make her confession soon enough - but not too soon. I was satisfied with the HEA and was really happy for them in the end.
The Hero and Heroinne might remember the weekend but the rest of us have forgotten their existance and the book.
