Q.--What measure was forthwith adopted in Nova Scotia? A.--Aware that if the French again made an irruption into Nova Scotin, they would exact contributions and assistance from the Acadians, Lieutenant Governor Lawrence and his Council, on the 28th of July, 1755., otter grave debate, and with the approval of Admirals Bos cowen and Moystyn, resolved to expel the Acadians from the Province, and disperse them among the other British colonies.
