The ABI 18W full spectrum bulb is our most economical general purpose grow bulb. It has blue, red, and deep red wavelengths combined in the best ratio for most indoor plants. The red and blue chips are used by chlorophyll and the added 10000K white chips fill in the rest of the spectrum for use by accessory pigments such as carotenoids, cryptochromes, phototropins, and phytochromes. These often ignored photoreceptors perform important functions such as regulating the circadian clock, growth signaling, regulating flowering, regulating leaf shape, and more. The white chips also improve the visibility of the plants. By using mostly discrete wavelength chips, this bulb achieves higher operating efficiency than our phosphor based broad spectrum bulbs. This passively cooled LED bulb is an excellent choice for growing indoor houseplants, herbs, vegetables, and most flowering and fruiting plants.
