An additional benefit of the covers is the prevention of moisture, and subsequently mold/mildew, from building up in the ductwork. A high density foam surround completely seals the clear plastic shields, which are affixed with a hook and locking lanyard to each grille. 3 U.S. patents have been awarded for the A-C DraftShields products.
