What a nightmare! Cartridges have a small yellow sticker on the front that says "PULL" with little illustrations showing how to remove it. (Not rocket science here.)
My wife had opened one of the yellow cartridges to install it and told me that when she did, the "ink came out everywhere". And it did, we have yellow splotches in the carpet that won't come out.
So, I'm thinking maybe it was a defective cartridge. The black ink cartridge also needed to be replaced and I'm glad I decided to change it rather than my wife!
Holding the cartridge carefully with the label up so no ink could potentially spill, I started to peel off the sticker. As soon as I had peeled the sticker off enough to uncover the hole (HP cartridge don't have a visible hole in them), black ink shot out everywhere, across my shirt and all over my hands (see my photo) and on the carpet. Fortunately I didn't get in my eyes. Who knows how long it will take to wear off my hands and forget...
Cartridges were labeled 9396 Black, 9391 Cyan, 9392 Magenta & 9393 Yellow in large type with small 88xl id's unlike HP labels. Appears to be a China knock-off of HP Cartridges. All have a vent hole on the top surface covered by a pull off tab which must be removed unlike HP cartridges. Ink will get on your fingers! None of the cartridges had the pump on the bottom to pressurize feed line. The ink feed hole on the bottom of the cartridge is not the ball/socket used by HP. So somewhat concerned about leak/seal. All cartridges were clear wrapped and sealed individually with no signs of leaks. Printer accepted all color cartridges and prints of color photos appear normal. In time, if my concerns prove to be unwarranted then these cartridges may be a good alternative
My officejet Pro L7590 refused to take the replacement cartrages as out dated. The cartradiges had a "Pull This tab" on the front. When I did liquid ink spilled out,
No matter what I tried, including retaping the hole on the front - which , by the way, none of the other cartardiges I ordered had, including HP originals. , Terrible, unusable, and now I have blue, yellow, and red ink on my hands, work table, and floor.
I am vey angry.
Oh, and just for your information these were made in China. And, although my printer recognized them as outdated, there was no outdate anywhere on the package or cartradige.
A complete refund is called for. - And one more thing, why not try using your own products on HP Officejet Pro L 7590 printers and see what happens. I would also like to know why you have a "Pull this tab/tape, that covers a hole that no other cartridge makes have including HP.
