I bought this for my 3-gun rifle I built. I like the reticle much finer than my Burris MTAC. The glass is great. I think the throw lever needs to be stationary and not foldable, but not a big deal. The only concern I have is the windage and elevation knobs. They do not lock to prevent accidental movement. After the sight is zeroed, the knobs can be slipped back to zero so you will know if they have been moved. The knobs are also very easy to turn. I placed both knobs on the edge of table and was able to move them with the slightest pressure. So if you are using this for 3-gun, you will have to make sure to be careful when putting or pulling your rifle from a barrel so you don't rub the knobs knocking your sight out of zero. I gave this 4 stars based on the knobs but I am going to still give it a shot. If it does not work out I'll keep the scope and put it on my 300 Blackout.
I am an optics-whore. So when I stumbled upon this 1-6x, I was surprised that I never heard of it. A brief search on the net did not turn out much either. Since there was one on discount on Amazon Market Place, I figure I will give it a try. I was and still am pleasantly surprised: 1. The optic quality is great for its price range. Not going to blow you out of water like a Leupold would. But nothing to complain about. Edge to edge clarity and no visible loss of brightness either. Oh, the FOV is pretty good. Again, not Leupold great, but good. 2. True 1x from what I can see. I have no trouble keeping both eyes open. And at 6x, still pretty darn clear. Oddly, the Burris XTR II 1-5x I tested it gave me lots of eye strain. Whereas Alpen was very easy on the eye. 3. The built-in scope lever is cool. But I found no need for it. The magnification ring is smooth.
Cons: 1. The illumination bleeds, even in low power. And it is very visible from...
Crystal clear, stellar warranty.
