- HOT WORK WORKHORSE: This AMI-TUF curtain is made primarily for vertical use as a CURTAIN to prevent sparks or high heat from damaging equipment and facilities during hot work such as welding and cutting. It's durable and can be easily moved from one area to another during such operations. The silicone rubber coating extends the life of the product and resists water and oil.
- EASY TO USE: AMI’s AMI-TUF SGL1700 Blue Curtain is easy to identify by color and printing of its FM Approval Rating on the product. At a little less than 5 lbs, it’s easy to carry, hang and remove.
- HIGH QUALITY: Made in Maine, USA, AMI-TUF SGL1700 is a fiberglass base fabric that is coated with our specially formulated silicone rubber compound. It provides greater abrasion puncture and tear resistance to our base fiberglass fabric. Silicone coated fiberglass fabric provides greater life, water and oil repellancy than uncoated fabrics while providing low smoke and flame retardancy.
- PERFORMANCE-TESTED BY FM APPROVALS: AMI’s SGL1700 Blue Curtain has been tested and Approved as a CURTAIN to ANSI/FM 4950 for Hot Work Protection. The rating suggests light to moderate hot work applications. Because of our fabric construction, weight and amount of coating, this product will outlast other fabrics in the Curtain category.
