Abramelin Oil (Crowley/Mathers Formula) (New Hermetics Oils)

Abramelin oil is used in many magical rituals and its recipe derives from the Grimoire "The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage." This book was considered extremely important in the Order of the Golden Dawn and particularly amongst the Thelemic orders promoted by early twentieth century magical adept and mystic Aleister Crowley. In describing the Holy Oil of magical aspiration, Crowley wrote, "THE Holy Oil is the Aspiration of the Magician; it is that which consecrates him to the performance of the Great Work; and such is its efficacy that it also consecrates all the furniture of the Temple and the instruments thereof. It is also the grace or chrism; for this aspiration is not ambition; it is a quality bestowed from above. For this reason the Magician will anoint first the top of his head before proceeding to consecrate the lower centres in their turn." The oils used are Cinnamon, Myrrh, Galangal, and Olive oil. This oil is handmade in extremely small batches by Jason Augustus Newcomb and his students from the finest essential oils. The ingredients are carefully combined on days and hours that are most astrologically auspicious to create a truly magical oil. Because of this it may sometimes be a week or more before this oil ships when supplies are low. The ingredients used in these oils are based on traditional correspondences, blended in the ancient traditional manner.
