The Foot-Shaped™ toe box and Zero Drop™ platform work together to help you run the way you were born to with relaxed feet, more power, and better technique. Blended EVA/A-Bound™ cushioning protect your feet from hard surfaces across long distances and various terrain. For this update, we didn’t want to mess with a good thing, so we simply revamped the upper to improve the fit at the heel and forefoot while making the shoe a touch more stable.
Foot-Shapedâ„¢ Toe Box
Traditional running shoes feature pointy toe boxes that squeeze the toes out of their natural position—increasing risk of bunions, hammertoes and plantar fasciitis. The Torin 1.5’s Foot-Shaped™ toe box allows the toes to relax and spread out naturally and the big toe to remain in a straight position. This enhances stability and creates a powerful toe-off to maximize running performance.
Zero Dropâ„¢
The Torin 1.5 features a highly cushioned Zero Dropâ„¢ platform that places the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground. This natural balance aligns the feet, back and body posture for less impact. It also strengthens the Achilles and lower calf muscles that have been weakened over a lifetime of running on elevated heels.
MetaPod Outsoleâ„¢
An outsole designed for your foot makes sense doesn’t it? The Torin 1.5 allows your foot to naturally flex where it needs by mapping the outsole to the bones and tendons of your foot. This sets it apart from the predetermined flex of other shoes and results in a natural, all-purpose traction system for any terrain.
