Amoretti Premium Chai Syrup should be used sparingly for the most authentic chai tea flavor and aroma. For best results, place your choice of tea into a tea ball. You could use a tea bag if thatâ€™s all you have, but you just might be able to taste the paper! Black tea is traditional for making masala chai, but you can use your favorite oolong tea, green tea, or even white tea if that is your preference. Start with 8 ounces of 190oF to 200oF water (just off the boil) and start with half a pump (1 teaspoon) of Amoretti Premium Chai Syrup. Remember you can always add syrup, but you can never remove it. Place the tea ball into the water/chai syrup mixture and allow the tea to steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the tea ball, add milk if you are so inclined, and sweeten to taste with white sugar, demerara or turbinado sugar, simple syrup, agave nectar, or honey.
