An Intermediate Japanese Reader Yuki Onna (Japanese through ghost stories Book 1)

Yuki Onna is a story about a Japanese ghost that falls in love with a wood cutter. The tale has horror, love, and a tragic end. It was originally written by an English author, called Lafcardio Hearn who moved to Japan at 40 and settled down in the late 1800s. He transcribed many Japanese folktales into English, The tales struck a cord with many Japanese artist of the time and they retold the stories in film.

A classic Japanese Story in Japanese with reading aides to help learning, such as a running glossary and hiragana over each kanji.. Also included are classical wood block prints from Japanese art masters to create a more immersive experience. And graded quizzes in English to check your comprehension followed by the English translation.

Here I've taken the tale and turned it into a Japanese learning experience.
