The patented windowpane cryoblanket design hugs closely to the ankle's curves and joints. The FDA approved water-based solution freezes at 27F and can hold a longer cooling/staying period up to an hour. This is why Pro Ice outperforms any instant cold pack or gel pack. The outer wrap material of Pro Ice covers is a loop fabric that's especially designed for and from hook-and-loop. Its insulating property directs the cold down toward the body where it is needed; it does not allow the cold to radiate away in all directions (increasing cold time). With its cloth outer facing it helps prevent condensation (uncomfortable wetness). With the use of the attached compression straps, the whole cold therapy unit works together to alleviate ankle/foot pain while still allows the user to remain mobile.
Care for Your Pro Ice Cold Therapy Wrap
Hand wash and air dry - Remove insert, hand wash cover in cold water using a mild detergent. Hang dry or lay flat on top of a towel.
Do not machine dry as this will shrink the elasticity of the nylon hook-and-loop straps.
*Should an ice insert become damaged, the liquid in the cells is made of a non-toxic, food grade material and not harmful. Simply, rinse area and wipe dry.
*Use only as a cold therapy. Do not heat pack in microwave oven or hot water.
*You can store the insert in the freezer when not in use, so it will be ready when needed.
