This Anvil nipple is a schedule 40 steel pipe fitting with a black finish and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on both ends for joining two pipes or extending pipe length. It has NPT threads for creating a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is made of steel and has a black finish to provide greater rust resistance than iron and can be used for oil and gas applications. This schedule 40 nipple meets specifications ASTM A53 and ASME B 1.20.1 for quality assurance.
