Additional Information

At ATSA Architects, we aspire to be the very best in the industry. We hope to achieve this through serving our clients, working together as a team and contributing to the community. We are working towards building a unique company delivering unparalleled designs, created and supported by people who represent the company with their wealth of knowledge from various cultures, background and experiences. The last few years have seen some of ATSA Architects remarkable and ambitious projects come to life in Malaysia and overseas. In this portfolio of work which dates from 2008 to 2011, we are showcasing our key projects that were commissioned to us. We approach our design by incorporating new technologies and sustainable design approach that had produced exciting and environmentally responsive buildings. Shifting technological, social and economic ways of life means that the work patterns and lifestyles of building users will continue to evolve. These are among the indicators that we had incorporated into the design of the Commerce Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tower belongs to CIMB Bank, one of the leading banks in Malaysia. By using the design parameters, we had created flexible, open office floors, while vertical movement is integrated between high-speed lifts and escalators to reduce travel times and increase connectivity between the floors. Manipal International University in Nilai, Malaysia is a good example in designing and constructing a green university campus that will decrease resource usage and raw materials both in the building construction processes and the future use of the building. The goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, energy, and water use, while creating an atmosphere where students can learn and live in a healthy environment. Our foray into Abu Dhabi, UAE had also given us the opportunity to increase our presence overseas. Al Reem Island is a major project, with a concept of a centered city master plan for business entrepreneurs, cultural activities, housing, tourism to complement Abu Dhabi Central Business District as a global business centre. Another example of our overseas work and design proposal took place in Port Moresby, the capital city of Papua New Guinea. It is the country s major urbanized port, and also the main administrative, commercial and education centre. Port Moresby is confronted with the task of meeting the demands of the growing urban population and the need to support its urban development. With these ideals in mind, we have managed to elevate the façade with distinctive elements that translate excellence and quality similar to any international city in the modern world. We have also extended our work to the Maldives, to design the new head office for the country's number one telecommunication service provider, Dhiraagu. The building reflects the company s commitment delivering modern, world-class telecommunication services and its transformation into becoming an international player. Although, ATSA Architects housing projects illustrated in this book represent a variety of explorations into appropriate forms and relationships, the key objective remains. This involves seamlessly collaborating and depicting the transition from the inside to the outside spaces by reinforcing the internal and external design integration, along with strengthening the outside experience from within. This monograph is essentially a pictorial essay rather than a deep investigation of particular attitudes and pursuits, although it contains written information relating to each project. The book simply aims to reveal and document ATSA Architects works, allowing the images to speak for themselves. It also gives use the ability to reflect on our past work with the intention to improve our future designs.
