I made a point not to look at the label until last as I know there's debate over what's made in China and what's made in Canada. Purchased a medium - am 5'11" and about 180lbs and an normally large but heard the jacket was on the large side. Perfect fit. Arms a bit long for daily wear maybe but not an issue. Pockets are a good size, and doesn't show in the pics here, but there's an Arcteryx logo on the hood for those who care to let others know you have a quality jacket. Hood is adjustable but you need to adjust it if wearing without a helmet. Some have asked where the Rocco reflector is - it's in the arm pocket. Since I'm in FL, my demo on the water resistance was in a cold shower. No leaks and with 3L gortex I didn't expect there to be any. Zips look okay but may be an issue with heavy gloves on. Size was great and still plenty of room for base and mid layers. The powder skirt isn't in the way if you just want to use this as a daily rain jacket either, even if it's not...
Originally tried the Tantalus "athletic fit" and returned for the Sabre's "relaxed fit" slightly larger around the top of my hips for mobility when skiing. Amazing jacket wore it this past weekend 15 degrees and windy in the northeast. Kept the wind out as advertised. I am 5'8" 180lbs 33" waist with shoulders and thighs and have never worn a medium, but this was the perfect size. Arc'teryx runs a little long in the sleeves and the Sabre is roomy so if you are concerned about the sizing the medium works for me.
This is a nice jacket and a nice color. It has lots of pockets and an internal pocket. It has a tad of insulation on the back of the jacket. It has nice pit zips. The bottom line with me it is noisy and stiff. I really like the Stingray jacket better. Sending this one back.
