  • WHY IT MATTERS: Pepote is a master cajon craftsman; he's tested countless wood combinations and varnishes, created a special unbreakable snare string, designed baffles and pop filters—the list goes on; everything he does revolves around chasing the best
  • TONEWOODS USED: a 9-ply Baltic birch body and rosewood frontplate deliver rich, punchy, and balanced tone (Baltic birch is also used in high-end drum set construction for players serious about sound)
  • DRIVING THE SNARE SOUND: spanning the frontplate inside are two adjustable sets of eight custom, hand wound micro-coiled steel cajon strings for a beautifully lush snare tone; includes hex key to tighten/loosen the strings which alters snare response
  • ZOOM IN: the cajon is rounded at the corners and sanded down to form thumb notches where your hands lay in their natural playing position; this gives you exceptional hand contact with more comfort
  • LOOKING UNDERNEATH: four silicone feet keep the cajon stable on any surface (wood, laminate, carpet, brick, concrete); these feet protect the cajon while eliminating vibrations to preserve the instrument's crystal-clear sound quality
