Artisan Tropic Naturally Sweet Plantain Chips are a taste of the tropics. They provide the perfect crunch and sweetness for a healthy way to satisfy that sweet tooth in us all. They are perfect by themselves, with some coconut ice cream or with an amazing coconut vanilla almond dip. And don't worry about the sugar content, it's all natural, because why would we add sugar to something so Naturally Sweet? Plantains are a type of resistant starch, which is a type of starch that is not digested in the stomach or small intestine, reaching the colon intact. Thus, it "resists" digestion. This explains why we do not see spikes in either blood glucose or insulin after eating RS.
