BASOTHO HERITAGE Wool African Blanket for Wearing (As seen in Black Panther) Seanamarena Corncob (Poone) (61" x 65")
The Seanamarena is seen as the "Royal Crown Jewel" of all the Basotho blankets. It dates back to the 1930's when it was created by the late Mr Charles Hendry Robertson who owned the Seanamarena trading store in Leribe, Lesotho. Seanamarena, loosely translated, means "to swear by the chiefs". The collection features two designs. The Poone design features the corncob motif. In Basotho culture, the corncob is a symbol of fertility and wealth.
