If you play ball or dek hockey outdoors, you know the wear and tear that outdoor surfaces can put on your stick blade. The Blade Saver is a hard plastic tube that fits over the bottom of your hockey stick blade and protects the blade from wearing down. It is thin, durable, and extremely light, so you won't notice it while playing. Simply slide the Blade Saver onto the bottom of your blade, use some hockey tape to secure it on each side of the blade, and go play! The Blade Saver is approximately 10 1/8 inches long and fits most standard stick blades. It can be easily cut to size for smaller stick blades. It also has a slight curve to better conform to the contour of your blade. The Blade Saver will not affect blade performance when using a ball, but it should not be used with pucks since it will come into contact with a puck. Although Blade Saver is durable, it will occasionally need to be replaced depending upon the playing surface, how often it is used, and how roughly. Re-taping is recommended before each use.
