The Power Badger's patented function is a major leap forward in energy savings and reliable cold weather vehicle starting. Here's how it works: Simply set your desired "Ready Time" and the Power Badger does the rest. By controlling the block heater (or pad heater/s) installed on your engine, the vehicle will be ready to start at your desired "Ready Time" using the minimum amount of power necessary. The Power Badger, is a completely new approach to controlling engine heaters. By sensing the outside temperature, the unit is able to specifically tailor a firing program to meet the user defined "ready time", thereby achieving "ready-to-start" status of the subject engine while utilizing as little energy as possible. A "maintain ready" mode is also user selectable to ensure an engine is ready to start at a moment's notice using the minimum amount of energy possible at any given temperature. The Power Badger was specifically engineered and tested to function in extreme cold, snowy, icy and wet conditions.
