The Magic Sleepsuit is a patented swaddle transition product that helps transition babies from the swaddle by providing them with a cozy and secure feeling, and helping to muffle their reflexive startles to aid in their sleep The Magic Sleepsuit was created by a mother of four who is a pediatric physical therapist to improve the quality and duration of her babies' sleep. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed for back sleeping in the crib only, and replaces loose bedding while providing your baby with a cozy, calming and safe sleep environment that will become a consistent part of their sleep routine. The Cotton Magic Sleepsuit has a soft, breathable jersey cotton inner and outer layer with a layer of polyfil in between for just enough comfort. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to be introduced at approximately three months of age when babies are transitioning from the swaddle. Babies should be transitioned out of the Magic Sleepsuit when they roll over in it and are ready for more freedom of movement in their sleep. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to aid the baby's sleep patterns, but also gives parents peace of mind that their baby is getting adequate rest necessary for appropriate growth and development. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to be used in the crib for back sleeping only, the recommended position for sleep to reduce the risk of SIDS. The Magic Sleepsuit should not be used for co-sleeping or in the Rock N Play. The Magic Sleepsuit helps eliminate the need for blankets and other loose bedding, which is consistent with many recommendations to prevent SIDS.

Our son was in a rock n play but was quickly outgrowing it. We had to transition him to the crib and he absolutely hated being swaddled or having his arms underneath of something. He was waking up 7-10 times a night and it was so hard to get him to go back into a deep sleep. Out friends recommended this to us and it worked so well! He was still waking up 2 maybe 3 times a night but it has went down to once and that is to eat. He sleeps from 7:30pm to 6:30am and is able to put himself back to sleep when he wakes up. I highly recommend! For the sizing, I think all babies are going to differ in size. We had to switch to the 6-9 months at 16 lbs opposed to the 18 and he was 4 months.
I bought this out of desperation when my 3 1/2 month old son suddenly stopped sleeping through the night. I was nervous to try it but decided to try it out during his nap time and it truly was MAGIC. My son hated naps and would cry and become overtired every time we would get to nap time.... never mind trying to have them take place in the crib. I slipped him into the suit in his crib.... he cried for 30 seconds and was then out cold for over and hour! This coming from a baby who was only giving us 20 minute naps! That same night we tried the suit and he slept through the night for over 10 hours. I was concerned this wouldn't work because he hated to be swaddled but it is hands down the best purchase we have made for him. My mom watches him during the day while we are at work and takes this suit to her house for his naps because she can't get over how well it works. My husband and I only worry now about what we will do when he becomes too big for it. It has been well over 3 weeks...
All babies will hit a period of time in the first year (often several times) where they need to wake up more often to eat or just because their brain waves are going through a growth spurt. But this is excellent to use when transitioning from the swaddle especially for early rollers. We stopped swaddling cold turkey at 2 months -- but my 5 month old still uses this to keep warm and to prevent him from rolling onto his stomach and screaming. I think it needs to be clear that a piece of clothing is not going to keep your baby sleeping through the night -- but it can help with reflexes and early rolling. We do not use this for nap times, but he now knows at 6:30pm when we put him in this suit -- it is time for bed. Our baby is strong enough now to turn around in the crib (not roll over) with the suit. We only put him in a onesie with the suit on top.
Product is super easy to wash. Recommend turning it inside out before throwing in the dryer to ensure it is thoroughly dry...
