This release features five Cantatas for the Sixth and Seventh Sunday after Trinity (BWV 9, 107, 170, 186, and 187), recorded live at the prestigious Ansbach Bach Festival and at St. Mary's church in Haddington, Scotland in July and August 2000. Also included is a favorite encore work, the motet Der Gerechte kommt um. Once attributed to Bach, this beautiful five-voiced motet was composed by Johann Kuhnau.
