Celebrating the First Anniversary of Hong Kong's Reunification with China in 1998, the Golden Qui Pao Barbie should not be mistaken for the Spiegel doll of the same name. This limited edition set is in a large, heavy duty and magnificent golden box which opens with a front flap to reveal the doll in a full length sheath which combines the "rich multilayering of intricate golden roses sewn onto a lace applique" over golden satin. Barbie has on bright gold heels, a "jade" butterfly at the neck of her dress, a "jade" and gold bracelet, and "jade"/"crystal"/gold drop earrings. Golden Qi-Pao Hong Kong Anniversary Set comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, a Commemorative Gold Coin in a black Pouch, and the Qi-Pao Story Booklet.
