This specially-priced set brings together the three Baroque music recordings made by Alexandre Tharaud for harmonia mundi between 2001 and 2007. At a time when most recordings of Rameau, Bach and Couperin are played on period instruments, the French pianist has masterfully absorbed the numerous discoveries made in the field of period performance practice over the last thirty years, while simultaneously making these time-hallowed works sound genuinely contemporary.
