Bee-Quick® for Honey Harvesting - a Safe and Organic-Approved Beekeeper-Only Tool to Clear Honey Supers (8oz)

•WHAT DOES IT DO?: Fischer's Bee-Quick is a simple way to move bees away from boxes of honey to be harvested. The non-toxic vapor smells very pleasant to you, but the bees do not like it and it encourages the bees to move away from it. 

•HOW DO I USE IT?: Fischer's Bee-Quick is applied to a simple fume board or breeze board (sold separately) and placed on top of the honey box. A flat sheet of cardboard can be used as well, but does not work as well. After several minutes, the bees near the bee-quick will move away from vapor, allowing you to remove the entire honey box, free of bees. After the box free of bees is removed, the board can be placed on top of the next box to be harvested and the process is repeated. It can also be applied to an empty, cold smoker and puffed between frames.

•HOW DOES IT WORK: The non-toxic, herb and oil-based liquid is turned into a vapor as it is exposed to air. The vapor is trapped inside the hive and causes the bees to move away from it to make harvesting honey from the hive simple and fast. 

•TIPS AND TRICKS: The time required to move the bees out of the box will vary with the outdoor temperature and amount of sunshine or breeze. A sunny day works best when using Fischer Bee-Quick with a fume board and a windy day works best with a breeze board. Apply Bee-Quick in a pattern across the full width of the inside of the board and place over the top box directly over the frames.

Hobby beekeepers can clear bees from honey boxes without having to remove individual frames or having to brush bees.
