Bertech general purpose electrical insulating tapes are packaged as 3/4 inch wide and 60 feet long. They are used for electrical insulation of the joints and splices in wires and cables up to 600 Volts. These tapes are made by coating specially formulated 7 mil thick soft PVC material with an aggressive rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesive. They are conformable and resistant to abrasion, moisture, acids, and alkalis. Other than the standard black color, the colored version is also widely used for wire and phase identification and coding.
