Colt felt the pressure of the man's hand on his back. He felt around him then reached into his shirt and pulled out one of his knives. Colt shivered as the man's finger grazed his nipple. The sheriff then felt him down to the hips, disarming him of two more knives, before getting to his last one, the one in his boot. He ran a hand over Colt's rump, but found nothing there. Colt bit his lip at the invasion, trying not to struggle, trying not to act like it bothered him.
"You ain't got more, do ya?"
Colt huffed into the side of the man's horse. He had a face full of sweaty horse hide, and the blood was rushing to his head. Suddenly, he felt a huge hand smack down on his rump.
"Aah!" Colt yelled.
"I said. Do you got any more?"
"No."
The hand came down again. Hard. Colt jumped at the impact.
"No, sheriff. Name's Eli, but you'll call me sheriff and nothing else. Every time. Proper respect. You want to be treated with respect, you show it to me first and foremost."
Colt grunted.
"I ain't going to show no man took away my freedom no respect."
"You're delayin' me, son. Now, I wanted to go and pick up Jericho and get a move on back to the jail, but if you are going to give me that sorry attitude, I'm going to have to teach you a lesson."
"Fuck you aren't," Colt turned his head up as best he could and spat in Eli's face.
It hit him on his broad jaw. Eli wiped the spittle off his grizzled chin and glared down at Colt, his eyes growing dark.
