- Achieve a deep blue/black finish on all iron and non-stainless steels with Presto Black STEEL PC9. Sold as a concentrate, can be mixed 50/50 with water for brush-on applications and 10% in water for immersion. Mix at stronger concentrations for faster blackening or for difficult to blacken surfaces.
- Creates a rich, vibrant black patina. Ideal for use on a variety of ferrous metals, including steel, iron, and cast iron. Does not blacken Stainless steels

- Artistic techniques allow for customization and unique patterns and designs. Can be applied by immersion, swab-on, or spray methods. Highlighting after will produce a pleasing distressed appearance. Wear appropriate PPE, to avoid irritation to skin, eyes and respiratory system. Gloves and safety glasses are recommended. Respiratory protection may be required if spraying the product produces a mist in work area.

- IMPORTANT: Coating itself DOES NOT protect the steel from rusting. If you do not immediately dry and seal it is prone to flash rusting. Seal with appropriate topcoat for end use. The black surface conversion is compatible with all sealants: oil, wax, clear coat, lacquers, etc. Combine with a metal cleaner and rust preventative to make a DIY black oxide kit.
