The price includes Four (4) "Prime-Ark Freedom" Blackberry Plants. They are 2 inch rooted plants shipped in 2 1/4 pots and are 3-6 inches tall.
Prime Ark Freedom is the first thornless primocane fruiting blackberry in the world! A blackberry usually grows one year and doesn't fruit until the following season. Freedom fruits this way very early in the season, but then fruits again in the fall where the climate is suitable.
Recommend to start off in a 4 inch pot with Organic Potting Soil like Fox Farm Happy Frog with fertilizer and beneficials already mixed in.

Package received 4 days late. I had ordered 4 Sweetie Pie and 4 Prime Ark plants from the same seller so they came together. They were jammed into a very small box (that my mail lady further compressed to get into my mailbox). When I opened them they are tiny little plants in jiffy pots that are in small, open ziplock bags wrapped in dry papertowels. The dirt from the pots was everywhere and got all over my kitchen island and floor while carefully opening. This would have all been forgivable if the wee baby planties looked ok.... they did not. They are teeny, wilty, have mildew leaf spots, and are ***actually just tiny plugs (less than 1") replanted into a larger jiffy pot right before shipment** this thing was a seed like 1.5 months ago. This is not a mature 2.5" pot bursting with roots and ready to be planted outside in a protected place. These are teeny seedlings that i had to repot/upgrade to 3" pots and itll be the end of the summer before they fill these tiny pots...
I received my plants about a week ago. They were packaged nicely in little fiber cups and the leaves were green.
I live in central california and right now temperatures are in the 80s and dry. I amended my Sandy clay soil with organic soil. I have kept the soil moist since planting.
As of now... one plant has leaves turning brown. The other three appear in good health. It could be simple transplant shock and will overcome in the next couple weeks.
I will give an update in a few months.
Update: As of today all four plants are now Brown and dead. It's a shame too since I went to the trouble to test the soil for proper nutrients and I used a moisture meter daily. I contacted the seller for a possible replacement but I was denied due to being past 30 days. The problem is a majority of plants don't show signs of problems until later than that. I guess I'll stick with buying plants from a local nursery from now on.
These came very conscientiously packaged. They were in a fiber pot/holder. I planted them in the hot desert (in well-amended soil) in the hottest days of summer. I have been keeping them cool and well watered. Three have healthy new growth and the fourth keeps promising the same (none yet but it is still looking strong after three weeks). These young plants obviously came to me robust and ready for the ground.
