Blackwater Premium Koi & Goldfish Food Cool Season Diet is formulated for Koi and Goldfish when water temperatures are consistently 60 degrees F or below. Our Cool Season diet focuses on Wheat Germ, which is a plant-based protein and easier for your fish to digest in the cooler temperatures. This food is also used in the spring to aid in spawning. It provides a low-fat diet that reduces buildup of fat in the ovaries of females and may reduce the incidence of egg-bound females. Cool Season food can be fed all year and provides ample nutrition. Should you have too much cool season koi food at the start of summer, simply continue to feed till it's gone. It is important to remember to stop feeding your Koi and Goldfish when your water temperatures drop below 50 degrees.
