Blame It on the Dog is the second book in the Gabe and Tigger Mystery series. Gabe and Tigger Mysteries are cozy whodunits set in the Hill Country outside of Austin. They are stories youâ€™ll enjoy getting into and stories youâ€™ll feel good about sharing with your friends and family. And the characters will stay with you long after you close the last chapter.

Gabe Chance left his hometown Brandt for college and a stint in the Army. His skills as a medic were in high demand in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Then, one day, so were his skills with firearms. Anybody would have done what he did but they gave him a medal, anyway. Heâ€™d rather not talk about it; thatâ€™s one of the reasons he headed West when he got out. Why California? Itâ€™s an eternity from Brandt.

So why doesnâ€™t he like the dog? Itâ€™s not that the mutt isnâ€™t talented in a quirky, dog sort of way. Or that his mother didnâ€™t do a good deed to rescue the animal. Gabe just doesnâ€™t want a dog, any dog, especially a dog he canâ€™t get rid of; an ugly, white, rat hound who looks like his tail got caught in an electrical socket, who loses hair by the buckets, and whose indelicacies are legendary.

Tigger? Tigger is fifteen pounds of hair, teeth and attitude. Heâ€™s a Jack Russell Terrier and heâ€™s every varmintâ€™s worst enemy, especially the two-legged kind if they give Gabe any grief.
