UK 2008 reissue of this self-titled album from the Louisiana-based singer/songwriter, originally released in 1972. Best known for his songwriting in the '50s and '60s ('See You Later, Alligator', 'Walking to New Orleans'), Charles recorded a plethora of solo recordings but never achieved commercial success on his own although this album has remained a critical favorite. Features guest appearances from the Band's Rick Danko, Dr. John, David Sanborn, Amos Garrett and others (including Danko's Band-mates). 11 tracks. Rhino UK.
