Breastless and Beautiful: My Journey to Acceptance and Peace

I started this book when I was faced with both of my breasts gone, and I had no idea what I was going to do about it. This is my breast cancer journey. Many women write about their experiences in this process and you will find that here. What you will also find is my thought process concerning breast implants; do I, don't I, and what the heck do I do now. This decision making process was a completely separate journey from my cancer, and one that took a great deal of time, soul searching, and spiritual growth. During the decision making process for this ultimately life changing course of action, I changed my mind on a day to day basis. There is so much to consider, so much I didn't know, and so much I found out about myself that changed my life. This book starts with a blog from the day I got my diagnosis, and ends with what I hope is giving women comfort and kinship. It is a spiritual journey filled with my thoughts, ideas and hints that just make this process a little easier for other women. What I want more than anything is to reach out to women and help give them strength, support, ideas, and yes, even guidance and permission to do what is best for them as individuals. If I can give that to even one woman who is struggling, than the time and effort I put into these words was all worth it. I shared my story, some sad, some funny and some thought provoking. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
