Each batch of Brew Dr. Kombucha we make is crafted from the beginning. We start with the same loose-leaf organic teas we serve in our Townshend's Teahouses. Then we blend in organic herbs, fruits or other botanicals. No juices or flavorings are added after fermentation, making Brew Dr. a truly 100% raw kombucha with the most naturally-occuring probiotics possible. We work closely with Brew Dr. and they have given approval for shipping this item unrefrigerated. We store these products cold in our warehouse at all times and they need to be refrigerated upon receipt. This product can be sent unrefrigerated because it takes many days for the live cultures to wake up and restart the process of fermentation (which could alter the product taste). We do this to help save you shipping costs, since shipping products cold would require a cooler and gel packs, and 3 day travel zones might even require sending via air to guarantee they arrive cold. We only ship on a date that will allow the product to get to you within a few days via Priority Mail or 2 Day FedEx Ground, so Wednesday is usually the cut-off day for delivery that week. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us prior to placing your order. We can not accept returns for this product because it arrives at room temperature, this is why we are letting you know the policy herein.
