The alfajor features a layer of rich and creamy dulce de leche (milk caramel sauce) sandwiched between two soft cookies and covered in premium dark or white chocolate. Each alfajor is individually wrapped. Cachafaz was founded in 2001 by three Argentinian brothers who began producing their version of the famous Argentinian "alfajor" and distributing them by bicycle. Passionate about creating products that are as natural and wholesome as they are delicious, their family business began expanding beyond their traditional line of "alfajores" to become one of the first companies to introduce nutritious, gourmet snacks to the Argentinian market.
