And finally, after your adrenal rush settles down and those imaginary jungle jitters fade away we hear about what it was like for later-day Marines to actually meet the Gunny himself and what they thought about him after that meeting. Iâ€™ve read this book many times but reading those Marine responses about how Hathcock was and how much they respected him always puts a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. I agree with each and every one of those Marines: We will always remember you, Carlos. Semper Fi!
