Description

Use an Under Tank Heater 24 watt, RH-6, 8"x18", when you need an inexpensive, low wattage heater for a typical 50-60 gallon tank application. Under Tank Heaters are an ideal 24-hour primary or secondary heat source for tropical or temperate reptilian species.
Inexpensive, low wattage heater. Excellent secondary heat source. These under tank heaters permanently adhere to your terrarium, forming a solid bond for optimum heat transfer. FOR SAFETY, we strongly recommend that you regularly take surface temp readings; to be aware of any changes due to seasonal or other issues. We DO NOT RECOMMEND under tank heaters for bearded dragons. We do suggest an overhead basking heat source. Dragons can become lethargic with an under tank heat source.
Temperature outputs can vary depending on the type and brand of habitat, substrate and décor accessories. FOR SAFETY, before introducing your animal into the heated habitat, please allow 3 to 6 hours of initial warm-up time and then check the surface temps; using a thermometer such as our Digital IR Surface Thermometer. These under-tank style heaters are not a self-regulating heat source. So if your reptile benefits from a specific temperature, we strongly recommend a thermostat be used.
